Abstract
This project focuses on simulation testing of airflow behaviour and characteristics in human airways for normal and diseased condition. The parameter such as velocity profile, pressure drop and the flow pattern in the airways are concerned. The result that obtains from the simulation compared for normal and diseased condition. In addition, the result also analyzed for the obstructed case such as tumour airways to determine its effect on human health. The software that involved is SolidWorks 2008 and COSMOSFloWork 2008. Based on the result, the simulation shows that the obstructed airways affect the flow pattern, velocity, and pressure in human lung.
