Abstract

Intelligent bee hive is an initiative for a better honey bee extraction and design that remove the traditional way of honey extraction process. The problem that can be conclude on conventional bee hive that largely used in honey bee market is dangerous either to human or to honey bee species. It is because the process of honey extraction involve taking out the frame from the hive that result in dead of bees. It can be prevent by the used of flow hive type extractor in honey extraction process. An innovation also brings up in this intelligent bee hive as green technology used to replace the use of electrical energy. The hive contains a temperature controller that controls the temperature in the hive so that honey bee can maintain their productivity as they less productive in too hot or too cold surrounding temperature. The temperature controller is powered by the green technology, solar panel. In terms of design, intelligent bee hive is also user friendly and mobile. The features such as the foldable legs and the honeycomb concept shape brings a lot of ease to users. It can be place on backyard or in a flower garden as it use solar powered technology and in terms of place, it can be placed on a table top or self-standing because it also comes with foldable steel legs.In conclusion, intelligent bee hive is a great development from conventional and traditional bee hive concept. This project certainly would have the advantage of producing a better quality honey, and could perhaps be made easier by the beekeepers.
