Abstract

This project reviews about the home monitoring system that would be able to solve one of the issues that we have nowadays that is house broken. In this project, we would look into advancing a new system that we will use the system to monitor the house surrounding and keep the house secure through just a mobile phone or laptop or it would just secure automatically. We would discuss about how we are going to advance the existing system through several ways and it may cheaper than the usual system. The technology that involved would relate in using the Wi-fi devices which we may control the devices remotely. Besides, we would also talk about efficient process that we may using when we are developing this project to make it error free. I have been using Modified Waterfall Model in developing my project. There are five phases in this model: Requirement Analysis, Design Phase, Implementation Phase, Testing Phase and Maintenance Phase. The Modified Waterfall Model is slightly different from the traditional waterfall. The Modified Waterfall Model has permission to fallback to previous phase in case there is any error. The examples of the designs are included in this report. Before the end of the report, I also have arranged a Gann Chart to help me in developing the project so that I would be able to finish my project in time.
