Abstract

In order to reduce the checking time taken and to reduce human errors in the stamping process, this paper proposes the development concept of portable quality-confirmation inspection device for automotive body part. The portable device will designed to reduce the human error as well as the checking time by incorporating a computer programming. The characteristic of the portable checking device is one of the significant important criteria in inventing a good checking device. The parameters such as design of a gantry system of the device distance of the sensor of production parts, type of data analysis use and suitable material should consider while conducting this project. Since this study uses two different types of sensors, thus the distance need to consider. The sensors will capture the image of a production part and transfer the data into the computer. The data analyzed whether it satisfies the actual CAD data. If the data does not align with the standard result, thus the adjustment of the distance of the sensor must do. At the end of this research, the development concept of a portable quality-confirmation inspection can use as a referenced and guided for the future design.
